I think somebody has to implement the changes introduced with KWin 5.25 https://psifidotos.blogspot.com/2022/03/kornersfix.html?m=1

https://github.com/boehs/Lightly. This fork seems to be patched for blurred regions and other fixes.

Sorry, I did not recognize the current situation with this project. Indeed, the changes in the fork address this issue. I have no experience in qt or cpp, but I hope a new maintainer will eventually step up. Has anybody talked to KDE folks, if they are thinking about adapting Lightly and its changes? I saw that Nate Graham is in the list of contributors of this project and Lightly could be a more modern alternative for Breeze.

I've been doing the bare minimum in my fork and I'd love to continue it here, but Luwx is inactive so it's... Hard. I don't want/plan to do a hostile takeover of distribution channels.

Has anybody talked to KDE folks, if they are thinking about adapting Lightly and its changes?

I've considered it, as a first step I'd like to sync lightly back up with normal breeze, which I track at https://github.com/boehs/Lightly/issues/2

@boehs Great to hear from you. I´d suggest you wait until May. The last commit in this repo was on May 2, 2022. Hard to say if he gets active again, but a currently broken version, due to KDE updates, does not help anybody. Also for anybody that wants to try Lightly it would be better to have a dedicated repo from you, if you want to invest that time into this project. I would not want to use Breeze again after discovering Lightly.
