Cannot handling/rendering when Caches are enabled #714

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set 4k resolution with 1536 samples per/px
  2. Enable PhotonGI/DLSC and cannot rendering

It has been happen on both samples. Actually, when I enabled PhotonGI and DLSC.

BTW: My specs: Cpu - i3-10100f @ 2.4ghz Gpu - Gtx 1060 6gb Ram - 32 gb ddr4

I mean it doesn't render with any samples when PGI+DLSC or PGI or DLSC are on:

I assume you are running out of memory. Does it happen only with GPU rendering or also with CPU-only rendering ?

Note, another very problematic setting you have is this one:

[LuxCore][5614.922] Configuration:

[LuxCore][5614.922] path.pathdepth.glossy = 33
[LuxCore][5614.922] path.pathdepth.specular = 32

65 is a very extreme setting and requires a LOT of memory.

😮😮😮65??? I think console goes mad!!! I setuped total samples to 64 and others to 32 not as you write. It is really strange that seems like core is stupid or madden😊

P.s.: How much memory are need this settings?

Image res: 4k or 5k also Total samples: 64 and others 32 OIDN memory: 31000mb Halt condition samples: 2048 PGI with 20 mln photons, search bounces (or radius?) 12 Env.LightC on with 1.0 DLSC is on with some higher quality related setups.

Total samples: 64 and others 32

It's not a samples, it's a depth of path. You just set unreasonable high depth value. Try to set it lower value, like 12 or 16

Hugh, are you mean about PhotonGI warma up samples that has been by default 12? If so, yes, I changed it to something 32 samples. Is this the problem?

(Max Bounces is not Samples, its depth of maximal bounce of each type of ray)

I know all about this. But as Console said I have not 33 or 65 values and for realistic FULL GI bounces not just 10 but more high than this and example 32 or high. Thats why I'm using higher bounces. And in Cycles I using 128 total also.
