Sorry to be a pain, but I'd just like to note that there are open source licenses specifically written for open source hardware projects, such as the three CERN OHLv2 licenses. The legal text of these licenses deal with legal issues specific to hardware that other licenses don't address. So IMO ideally a hardware license can be used here. Just want to point this out for your consideration. 😄
