SEO Friendly URLS simple refer to using the underscore in the URL instead of a hyphen. Search Engines like Google favour sites that use hyphens rather than underscores.

The following pages, as well as all the existing blog posts, AND all future pages need to be changed to accommodate this rule. This means that the CMS needs to be modified to produce hyphens in the URL rather underscores.

2. Inline CSS: CSS is used as a master file which puts the clothing on your website. When it's compressed and minified, it allows for a substancial speed increase.

Using Inline CSS files, can not only slow down the performance of your site... but it can also allow for complication when trying to modify changes.

Let's say I make a page and I want there to be a button in a specific area; I would use inline css to make it look something like this:

If your users don't have a fast processor, or fast internet... then it's going to load the style.css version of my button first, and then it will load the inline css version. So the users might see some funky action happening on the page before it's fully done loading. It's also good practise to keep your files organized; keep your CSS separate from your JavaScript and your HTML. It will definitely make life easier for cosmetic changes in the future. Because the designer will only have to edit the CSS files, rather than go into every page and edit them one by one. 3. Page Objects Page objects are strictly for website speed. Changing this would require changing all the images to what's called CSS Sprites (this is the easiest and much less complicated than converting them to dataURLS) This is what a css sprite looks like in your style.css page: #home { width: 46px; height: 44px; background: url(img_csssprites.gif) 0 0; } Then in your home page (or any other page where you use objects) you would use this code rather than requesting the physical image file: img id="home" src="img_cssprites.gif" This causes less stress on your servers resources, which allows for faster loading speed. 4. Implement a page caching system.
