Is it possible to use the gpu to accelerate the compression process #265

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. When I am processing a10GB image compression task, I found that only the cpu is working with 90 degrees celsius.

Not really, as the compression libraries for the formats cannot use the GPU to process the images, as far as I know.
