I drew up a model of how the science tree works. There are altogether 13 lines: 12 for advancements, in various fields, and one to cover the descent due to military developments. These correspond to 12 types of consumer goods, 12 values that are measured for economic stats and 12 types of buildings. There are 3 subdivisions :

  1. Enrichment
  2. Maintenance
  3. Propagation

Any progress in defence or military reduces progress in other fields
