What was the rationale behind choosing the LT1013 op-amp in particular? And what was your reason for abandoning the TSL257 in favour of a silicon diode? Do you find it performs noticeably better? I'm trying to make a sensor that compares filtered and unfiltered TSL250 sensors but I came across your project and it seems like an interesting approach

I never have used LT1013 , i used for symetric command to galva a TL082 because he have better response and LM 393 because it's comparator OP-amp. I use actually TSL 257 because it's simple to connect and manage, I have two OUTPUT , analog Output for height hand and second connected to my OP-amp to have a logic signal (level of saturation is managed by a potentiometer connected to 5V) . It's possible to filter the input signal (provided by the hand when cutting laser) with high pass or band pass filter . I actually work to make a sensor with filter ..

I was referring to the schematic in Laser-Harp-Project/2-Sensor/LaserHarp_sensor-V03-final.pdf though maybe thats out of date.

this schematic was maked/buillt by my associated person , frederic wauters , this schematic include a band pass filter to exclude ambient/parasite light , but for me i have some problem , i need a symetric voltage input for OP-AMP , and i search a hight position of my hand, and with this schematic is not possible ..

i have maked all in one plan for laser harp to make after a Mother Board https://github.com/M1r3o/Laser-Harp-Project/tree/main/4-%20All%20In%20One%20electronic%20plan%20Laser%20Harp/REV2

UPDATE : i upload new schematics with TSL257ont "2-Sensor" directory

I am new to electronics but good in music and some codings but i want to build one myself can you help me by guiding from scratch. Because I can't afford $1500 dollers to buy one instead I can build one could you please help me!
