memory usage changing page #288

Hi, when I enter an internet page using gallerific I can see the memory used in 
my computer growing up significantly. This is logic because of all the photos 
charged. But when I quit the page the memory is not released.
I have tried with this code:

            jQuery(document).unload(function($){
            gallery = null;

But till I close the web browser nothing  changes.
Thanks in advance for your suggestion.
