There is some way to output to a text file as alphanumeric characters? #29

I tought it would be cool to create a transparent desktop widget with this effect.

For that I need to > the output to a text file. But if I do I get terminal scaped characters. There is a way to get alphanumeric characters instead on the output?

Hello, currently the output always has escape sequences for the colors but I'll be happy to help you get the desired result. Can you explain what you need further? Do you need a single frame or a constant stream into a text file? Do you have any examples of how this desktop widget is created with other programs?
