Proposal of logo and icon for the application

Looks good! The current logo has been always kinda temporary - and remained so for the last 8 years. :D

I'll definitely like to use it - just a question - I'll need to use it also for an application grid icon (modRana runs on mobile devices (mainly Sailfish OS) & on Linux desktop. The icon is especially important on mobile devices where users basically interact with it every time when they launch the application. This kinda dictates a rectangular icon & most application icons seems to be +- like that.

While I guess I could just letterspace the icon (as for example Wine does) I wonder if some rectangular (or round ?) variant would possibly be better ? Or possibly some other transformation (just the round part, more squat form, etc.), that keeps the visual link with the regular logo/logotype which I'm sure will work totally fine for stuff like About pages, application repositories/store pages, banners, general project logos, etc. :)

Good thing you like me, however I do not understand very well what you want me to do, you want me to incorporate the icon inside a square so that it works for you in linux or you want me to remove the round icon with a square one, I leave you an icon image inside a square if you tell me to export all the files like this or if it's something different to make the changes. :-)

Different variants of the icon

I think I like the first variant/shape the best - but I'm not sure about the gray color - maybe just an outline would do ? Or a different color ?

Perfect to present variations of different colors and background if you want a different color do not hesitate to say it to incorporate it.

I think I like the white background the best, followed by the azure one. Could you include both ? I can definitely see use-cases for both, more or less based on the given app-launcher background. :) Thanks in advance! :)

I think material design icon style would be good, right shadow of location icon would be nice. The shadow is like this. Hope to see modrana in Play Store :)

Oh, sorry - I certainly want to use it, there have been just some things I wanted to work on first, but I should be able to get to the re-branding soon & will let you know if it turns out some changes for the logo are needed. :)
