@omshinde the Guide
I actually think using something with 2 urls make's it confusing, how to select between 2 urls should be it's own technical topic in the CMR/STAC usage section.
Most of what you wrote could be converted to a science tutorial about accessing ASTER-1
Thank you @wildintellect ..
As suggested, I'll keep these notebooks for accessing ASTER-1 and prepare another for the guide. Do you have any recommendations on the data for the guide tutorial? Is this the one we discussed last time- NASA Shuttle Radar Topography Mission Global 1 arc second NetCDF V003
on NASA CMR.
Might as well use the updated dataset NASADEM https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search/granules?p=C1546314043-LPDAAC_ECS&pg[0][v]=f&pg[0][gsk]=-start_date&q=NASADEM&tl=1706908327.71!3!!
This PR consists of documentations for-
I have a few queries about the location for these documentations.
The 1. notebook was initially planned for the Cloud-Optimized Geospatial Formats Guide. However, I realised that there is already a tutorial on Examples of working with COGs. So, 1. is re-written for MAAP ADE users. If we still plan to publish to the Guide, then I can create another copy for the guide based on this document.
The 2. notebook is a detailed explanation of a brief COG-validation MAAP Documentation Example. We can remove it if is redundant. However, keeping this still acts as a good end-to-end tutorial for COG validation.
Reason for choosing ASTER_L1T dataset:
OnlineHTTPAccessURLs
and we don't have any example in MAAP Documentation for using one URL out of the twoOnlineHTTPAccessURLs
. So, it can act as a reference for such use-case.cc: @wildintellect @smk0033
