4 months ago I wrote this down as a to-do as well. Also noting that you currently need a verbal invitation from an active user is important... otherwise ppl try to "sign up" and we typically won't respond to those requests (at this time, anyway).
The instructions contain out-of-date images, which is confusing to users -- looking specifically at the "Login with" image, but the whole page could use a review. https://docs.maap-project.org/en/latest/getting_started/getting_started.html
