I had not heard they released a Android client, very nice.
Does it not work "as is" ? I mean with emulated keyboard input?
I do not have a tablet for testing, and OnLive will not install on my Phone :(

Oh, issue #126 says it is actually working, except for analog data?

Yes its working for games that allow button mapping and don't rely too heavily on the mouse. so no fps but racing and platform games work well. it's just really tedious setting up each game.

Are you requesting an easier way to set up keys?
I have an idea for making a simple interface where users can submit their
button configurations.
The idea is that others can then search these setups and apply them locally.
Would that solve the problem at hand?

Sorry for the confusion. Your key mapping method is just fine. The profiles
are great but loading another users mapping for x game would be a welcome
addition. I was referring to onlive supporting universal mapping to a mouse and
keyboard or the 360 controller in the android app, like they do in the PC
program.

I'm unable to get a bluetooth connection and wifi connection on my phone at the
same time so I've been unable to test this on my EVO 4g. Generally speaking,
key mapping would be fine other than it would be helpful if analog pads (like
on iCP and Wii Classic Controllers) could somehow be made to work as well.

Although it looks like the issues with analog data were actually discussed on
item 126.

Do you have a link for "OnLive universal mapping" ?
I can make a profile that looks like whatever they think "universal mapping" is.
I have written OnLive requesting that they read analog data, feel free to do
the same, the more requests they get, the more they are likely to actually
implement it.

I don't know how, but the app GameKeyboard has just added a feature that allows
it's touch buttons to emulate the OnLive universal controller. After testing,
the OnLive app does indeed think I have their controller hooked up and responds
and plays where it normally would do nothing in said games in the previous
keyboard mode (minus analog sticks). Doesn't appear to require root, as I
didn't get a prompt for superuser. Again, I don't mean it's emulating keyboard
controls, I mean it actually is emulating the "OnLive Universal Controller" and
its gamepad buttons.
With that in mind, it does seem quite in the realm of possibility of Bluez
doing the same, but with our bluetooth controllers. I wish I had more info on
specifics for that to provide you. Maybe the GameKeyboard author is willing to
share how he came about this, as only a small portion of OnLive games work with
emulated keyboard controls.

Last I checked, "GameKeyboard" is basically registering areas on the screen
that the user can press.
When the areas are clicked, it sends key-press messages. Have I understood this
correctly?

Hi kenneth, I have used bluez to map dpad to wasd and the other controls are
usually linked to a mouse movement, is it possible to have key inputs for mouse
up etc? Thanks

Sadly no. The Android security system only allows sending keypress events IF
you are an IME, but no analog data and no mouse clicks.
