Up until now, we have used the McMaster University logo as a placeholder since
I didn't have a lab logo designed yet when we started the project. Now years
later we obviously have that, but just haven't incorporated this into the
software yet. I've attached 2 versions of the logo - one with the text and one
with just the image. I would like for all of the software to now show this
instead of the university logo for the icon and on startup. Feel free to use
whichever you think is most appropriate - I have little to know design
understanding (which is why I higher designers when needed!).
Speaking of which, I had a designer put together a sketch of the "splash
screen" since earlier Simeon and I had been working on getting some "visualizer
software" up and running. At this point, with our limited remaining
development time I'm more focused on stabilizing the other packages rather than
making that. So, if it's easy to throw in the splash screen image then let's
do that. But if it introduces a lot of complexity to the boot sequence (i.e.
more than an hour development time) then don't worry about that.
Later on I'll worry about having differentiated versions of the logo/splash
screen etc. for different packages. For now I just want to make sure the
branding of the software is on track.
