eDay is an annual New Zealand initiative, started by Computer Access New Zealand (CANZ), aimed to raise awareness of the potential dangers associated with electronic waste and to offer the opportunity for such waste to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly fashion.
An estimated 50 million tons of E-waste are produced each year.
The USA discards 30 million computers each year and 100 million phones are disposed of in Europe each year.
The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that only 15–20% of e-waste is recycled, the rest of these electronics go directly into landfills and incinerators.
In the United States, an estimated 70% of heavy metals in landfills comes from discarded electronics.
The industry electronic waste trends are not sustainable.
Before you dispose of anything electronic, find a local recycling center and bring your new or used item in for disposal.
If you're a company, think about sponsoring a electronic recycling program for your employees.

We break stuff and you need to know about it! And, it's an opportunity for us to share those, "watch out for..." It would be great to hear from the community on any "lessons learned" as you've been working with the MARKET Protocol project.
Demos
It's great to show working code and functionality. We'll pick one or two features completed in the past week and do a demo of the functionality.
