RPi Version? #9

I tried running the script on my fresh RPi install (RPi 3) and parts of it failed. Raspbian Stretch version. What Raspbian version was this project based on? Assuming Raspbian Jessie, correct? Currently I'm downloading an image of Jessie to give that go.

Can't wait to start playing with my BladeRF x40. I'm a licensed ham radio guy so there are a world of possibilities :)

You can disregard. I see where you have downloadable images. That should resolve any potential issues between Raspbian versions I was experiencing trying to run the script. Great stuff. Kudos!

Actually I downloaded the most recent image from this site and now I get errors such as

Failed to open USB device: USB reset failed -No device found [0x75301908] Failed to create radio interface: failure RESET failed with status 2

I am running a bladeRF x40 with firmware version 2.0.0 and FPGA version 0.7.1 installed directly to the board. Based on your image the bladeRF-cli version is 1.4.0 and the libbladeRF version is 1.7.2.

Is there a potential issue with my firmware and/or FPGA versions loaded on the board?

I downgraded the firmware to 1.6.1 and the FPGA to 0.1.2 and now don't see these errors when launching YateBTS. So I should be in the clear. Apparently there are firmware-specific requirements to keep things smooth :)

Hey Greg,

Yes, that’s exactly the case. This is just one of the issues we faced developing this. Firmware 2.0 to brand new break the entire deployment. 1.7.2 sounds about right for what we used. Hope you can have some fun with this project and glad it’s getting closer to working. I can’t speak to the script failing on a fresh install, things are very specific, and unfortunately I don’t have the time or hardware to maintain the script too much.

Best,

Matthew May
