Updated XLGearModifier.Unity.csproj and XLGearModifier.Unity.Editor.csproj to use xcopy /d in their post build steps so we're not constantly copying debug files out that haven't changed.
Added small null check in ClothingGearObjectPatch.IsLayerable()
Added a patch to GearDatabase.ValidateCustomization that does a similar lookup on items marked isCustom as what the game does on items without isCustom. This ends up "converting" our customization to XLGM's known type, which allows the layerable functionality to work as expected.
