I tested it with small contraptions to be accurate with vanilla minecraft. It could be that I missed some small details or got some timings incorrect. And I ran chungus mandelbrot which was generated correctly and encountered no noticeable performance difference.

Not merging over concern for performance and accuracy. I think a decent idea might be to create a new redpiler backend that accommodates for observers so that the there is no impact on builds without them.
