Manually ran these additional tests (all of which passed):

re-ran the automated test suite
ran the IDL test harness
the MATLAB test harness was run (note that this is not yet enabled in Jenkins)
confirmed that Python can retrieve signals by "tag" (i.e., doesn't repeat Issue #2634)

All of the above was done with a manual Docker build on Ubuntu 20.04.
