Which device (manufacturer, type)? HTC G1 T-Mobile

Which firmware is installed? 2.1 cannon202 complete eclair 1.2

What version of wireless tether are you using? 2.0-pre4(One to rule them all)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Put T-Mobile Sim in G1, and Turn On
2.Open Wireless Tether, and Activate, using WI-FI (not blue tooth)
3.On Cliq XT, go to Settings- Wireless Controls- Wi-fi Settings(turn on
wifi), Scan for wifi. Cannot see the SSID AndroidTether, on the Cliq XT.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?.. I can connect my
MSI Wind U100 NetBook, using G1 Android WiFi Tether. I can also Connect
various iPhones that I have tried. They all see "AndroidTether", when they
do a WiFi scan, near my G1 (when tethering is turned on) Also, Cliq XT
reads and can connect to all other WiFi in any area.
Please provide any additional information below.

I have an alternate wifi program installed on the Cliq XT. it is from the
Android Market, and is called WiFinder. The SSID- AndroidTether, shows up
on the WiFinder wifi search, but it comes up locked. I looked on the G1,
and the WEP-Key abcdefghigklm. I type this in the Cliq XT, but nothing
happens.

WiFinder says that the G1 is transmitting on Channel 6
It reads transmittitting on LAN-Network 192.168.2.0/24(there is
a list of other LAN options)

P.S the Telecom Guy in my office says, that TMobile might have restricted
the
WiFi access, so that I could not tether between Tmobile phones
