Cannot connect stops a .4kb and freezes up #446

Which device (manufacturer, type)? HTC EVO

Which firmware is installed?

Root FROYO 2.2
What version of wireless tether are you using?
I've Tried them all to see if one will work
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Turning it on
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Every time you turn it on it will stop or freeze at .4kb and wont do anything 
else.  Computers cannot connect either

Tried reflashing Rom....going back to a Nandroid setup that was fine.  Tried 
every version including the new beta with no luck.  Installed a new kernel with 
no luck.  I've tried anything and everything.  

Please provide any additional information below.

I am experiencing this also.
