AWT 2.X Not Compatible with Radio 2.22.23.02 for G1 ? #667

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
G1

Which firmware is installed?
Cyanogenmod 6.0.0 Stable
Radio Version: 62.50SC.20.17H_2.22.23.02

What version of wireless tether are you using?
2.0.2 or 2.0.5-pre11

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start tether
2. try to find from other devices

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
SSID doesn't show up. I looked further, ran iwconfig on tiwlan0 and it says
"no wireless extensions" ... so i'm thinking the tether doesn't like my
upgraded radio firmware.

For what it's worth, an IRC user tested G1 with CM6 and CM6.1rc1 and had
success, but didn't have the upgraded radio.

Ahm. I've tested the app on my G1 (running a slightly modified tmobile-firmware
- android 2.2.1) and it's working fine for me.

If you think this is radio-related why you don't downgrade the radio and check?

I would, but i'd have to downgrade *EVERYTHING*.
CM6 (android 2.2) requires DangerSPL on g1, which requires the upgraded radio
version.

So maybe that's not it. Regardless, any suggestions on debugging?
iwconfig should show wireless extensions, no?

and by "working fine for me", you were able to connect to and route through it?
My version throws no errors, per-se.

Ok, so ... what I have on my G1:

Basband version: 62.50SC.20.17U_2.22.23.02
DangerSPL
Firmware: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=812725

Works flawlessly ...
