This looks like a permissions issue perhaps resulting from downloading mesa
in windows then accessing it in Ubuntu? One fix would be to download mesa
again inside Ubuntu. Another is to change the permissions of all files that
give you trouble: in the Ubuntu terminal, do a chmod u+rx filename_giving_trouble
