Since the update, notifications for discussion topic posts in groups have changed. Rather than [network] subject line of post (group name) for initial posts and replies, the subject line is generic for the initial post, e.g. [UP Commons] Faculty Outreach Committee (UP Group Forums) and replies have [network] **re:** subject line of post (group name) e.g. [MLA Commons] re: Updates on the Commons & committee sites (MLA Staff Committee Liaisons).
The new notification subject line not incorrect, but they're less informative than they were, and "group forums" isn't terminology we use elsewhere. Previously, subject line provided some extra context to motivate someone to open the email and also, at least in gmail, the fact that the original post and replies shared the same subject line meant that the messages were all grouped together as a thread.
