There are several ongoing and planned mesmer projects:

Ongoing projects:

• MESMER (@leabeusch): annual mean temperatures (CMIP simulations by @leabeusch and CORDEX simulations by @woodhome23)
• MESMER-X (@yquilcaille): annual extremes, currently working for TXx, not tried yet over other extremes.
• MESMER-M (@snath-xoc): monthly mean temperatures
• MESMER-M-LU (@snath-xoc): influence of land use changes on monthly (?) variables (? -> should specify T for now or already working on others too?)
• MESMER-M-TP? (@sarasita): monthly mean joint temperature-precipitation

Technical oversight: @mathause

Scientific oversight: Lukas Gudmundsson, @leabeusch, Sonia I. Seneviratne

Potential future projects:

• MESMER-I: impacts
• MESMER-MV: multiple variables (i.e., jointly emulating any two or more correlated variables; name very much open for discussion -> alternative e.g.,: MESMER-C (for compound events, but not sure if that needs to be linked to impacts or whether it can just mean multiple correlated variables?)

I’ve tried to use consistent naming where possible, but am of course open to any changes that still improve our naming. The only thing that is clearly not up for discussion is the name MESMER itself. ;)

I added question marks wherever I’m not entirely sure I’m up-to-date with the project scope (-> @yquilcaille & @snath-xoc, can you check and remove the question mark if correct / update if not correct, please?).

And maybe it’s worth it to also tag @woodhome23 here. Do you know about any other project(s) we’re still missing here Jonas? If yes, could you add it / them?

Regarding MESMER-X, I have updated my part. Yes, it is only annual extremes. So far, this part is written for TXx, but can theoretically be directly used for others extremes.

Regarding other projects, Sonia mentioned 2 projects not in your list, one on forests and another on carbon-cycle feedbacks.
