split ubiquitin tags-cub and nubg #404

Closed SourceForge-exporter closed 8 years ago

SourceForge-exporter commented 11 years ago

need "cub" and "nubg" - The protein of interest (bait) is fused in its full-length form to a C-terminal fragment of Ub (Cub), followed by an artificial transcription factor (TF). The putative interactor (prey) is fused to the N-terminal fragment of Ub carrying an Ile13Gly mutation (NubG) From: PMID:22645275 and elsewhere

Does it mean form now on we're supposed to annotate split-ubiquitin experiments using , both, bait/prey roles AND add corresponding tags ? My impression was it's enough to use bait/prey annotation (same way as it's done with Y2H experiments) as it (nearly) unambiguously assigns tags to participants....

The IMEx rules state we do not need to add tags for PCA assays if their use is implicit in the method - that has not changes just because the tags are now in the CV. There are plenty of other terms in the CV IMEx chooses to ignore. However databases are free to add more information than IMEx should they wish.
