Hello, thanks for the exceptional work in creating and maintaining the MIMIC-IV database!

We received a question from a reviewer of our research manuscript, and I am hoping to seek some guidance. The question is about DRG. We are wondering for the DRG codes in MIMIC-IV, are those DRG codes the original DRGs submitted/claimed by hospitals, or the actual DRG codes approved by insurance company?

These are the codes recorded by hospital staff, so I believe the answer is that they are "DRG codes the original DRGs submitted/claimed by hospitals".
