Request for Guidance on Locating Variables in MIMIC-IV Demo Dataset #1670

Dear MIMIC-IV team,

I am contacting you because I am developing a pressure ulcer prediction model using the MIMIC-IV demo dataset that I already have in my possession.

In order to properly train the model, I would need your assistance to locate the following data for each patient within the dataset:

The goal is to use these variables to predict each patient's risk of developing pressure ulcers during their ICU stay.

I would greatly appreciate if you could provide me with guidance on where to find these specific data points within the structure and tables of the MIMIC-IV demo dataset. Your assistance will allow me to better understand the dataset and appropriately select relevant variables to develop a robust predictive model, as a first step before requesting access to the full data.

Once again, thank you for your support to maximize the use of MIMIC-IV data in my pressure ulcer research. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Code for extracting these variables is available in the concepts folder: https://github.com/MIT-LCP/mimic-code/tree/main/mimic-iv/concepts

The only variable not extracted there are Braden scale scores. They are fairly easy to find; look in the d_items table for the concept names and the actual data is in chartevents.
