Eph 6:17 MLV

also able to accept the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

I've always thought that this was saying that "the sword of the Spirit" is the word of God when, in fact, because the gender used for the pronoun "which" is neuter, its antecedent is "Spirit" (also neuter) not "sword" (feminine). So the greek is actually saying:

...accept the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which Spirit is the Word of God

I have capitalized "Word" as that is your convention in John 1 which also refers to the Spirit of Christ as "the Word".

Spirit is always neutered even though HE is one of the Divinity. It is correctly translated.

It is correctly translated.

After further examination, I believe your right. Please know, I didn't mean to degrade the personhood of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for this correction.

The word of God compared to a sword (Hebrews 4:12):

For* the word of God is living and effective and sharper beyond that of any two edged sword and is penetrating even to the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow and is a judge of the contemplations and deliberations of the heart.

The word of God wielded as a sword (Matthew 4:4):

But answering, he said, It has been written, ‘Man will not live on bread alone, but upon every declaration that goes-onward through the mouth of God!’ {Deu. 8:3}

I also see a consensus amongst commentaries many of which make convincing points.

I know you are not a JW, Mormon or Unitarian so that never came to mind. Have a great evening.
