Audio Link doesn't work on iOS #2

Thanks for this plugin! It's been of great use for our website and our members use it a lot to prepare for the next week's readings.

We have run across an issue with the audio link, it doesn't work on the iPhone. I didn't check any other mobile device but did on multiple iPhones and no luck.

Any idea?

Hello, glad to hear the plugin works well for you. The current audio player being used is Flash based. This may be the reason it doesn't work on the mobile devices. The default player on BibleGateway contains a lot of ads but may work on more devices. According to a BibleGateway FAQ, only older Android devices are not supported. They also recommend using their mobile app. I'll do some more research to see if there are better alternatives and if so, offer that in the next update to ScriptureLinks. God bless!

Due to our setup, none of the interim solutions will work. We’ll wait patiently for the update to the plugin.

I wonder if you've had any more thoughts about helping to make the plugin and audio player more mobile friendly in a planned update? Currently, we're hearing from iOS users wanting to hear the scriptures from our weekly links but can't due to the use of Flash.
