App cannot be updated #1076

When I try updating the app on my pixel 7a with the newest update, it says an error accrued App cannot be installed

From which location are you trying to download the app?

Apologies. I didn't mean country. Which app location? GitHub? F-Droid?

And is that where you originally downloaded the app?

@exstntlmsnthrp GitHub F Droid does not have 1.33.0 and higher only 1.32.2

@Shadowbee27 Yes, F-Droid will eventually build it, this just takes time.

I've downloaded from GitHub also and it installed fine on a Pixel 7 Pro.

Have you tried downloading another time?

@exstntlmsnthrp now I tryed redownload it and install it but it say in conflict with a different package

@Shadowbee27 That usually indicates that you originally installed it from a different source, like F-Droid or IzzyonDroid. They are signed with different keys and that error is usually the result when they are in conflict.

One option is to export your kvaesitso settings and preferences. Then delete the app, install the new version from GitHub and import your settings. Just understand that any custom widgets that you have setup do not get saved when you export your settings.

The other option is to wait until F-Droid builds the current release.

@exstntlmsnthrp that was the problem I deleted it and then reinstalled it thx for helping me out
