Struggling with a Tongue-Twisting Launcher Name: A Frustration Shared by Many #773

Hey everyone, I'm really loving this launcher—it's fantastic! But I have to admit, the name is quite challenging to pronounce and spell. It's so complex that I struggle to say it, let alone share it with my friends so they can check it out too. As a Spanish speaker, I find it particularly difficult, and I think English speakers might have a tough time with it too. Plus, searching for it online is a hassle because I'm not sure how to spell it.

@wolfred24 Indeed the name is unusual and at first I was misspelling it too. Until I paid attention to how is actually spelled. Now I have no issues.

The name, being so unusual, kind of sticks in the brain, and like a bug, won't let go. But this is a good marketing strategy!

This said, I understand your frustration, and the lack of official explanation or help in pronunciation can elevate it. However, you may want to be careful, because you may irritate a lot of fanboys with such comments 😆.

@MM2-0 is /kvajzitso̞/ the correct way to pronounce kvaesitso?

wolfred24 commented 2 months ago

What is your native language guys? Because there is no way to pronounce it as a native Spanish or English speaker

@derei the name is so unusual, And the fact that I cannot assimilate it to absolutely any word in English or Spanish, and added to the fact that I cannot assimilate it to the grammar of either of these two languages , It is impossible for it to stick to the mind, possibly for people who speak other types of languages it will be easier, But in our grammar we never use "kv" together (Or in any case that I know of) , or Æ.

I'm not sure about this but it could be a phonetic game on words. Kvaesitio is admittedly based on search, so maybe the word has to be read to sound like "quaesitio", that is the ancient latin for "question", "research"

That's 100 points for you 🎉
