The completed idea of a quick notes had me thinking about combat. I'd love for each Combat tab to have its own notes section similar to quick notes where it opens in a new window. Rather than just the constant 'you hit and deal damage', I like to try and add flavor and plan out how to make the battle more interesting. Having those notes readily available while running combat would be great. I have those notes already in standard text items, but that loses focus on combat each time I pull it up.

In the next version, whatever is publishing will continue to publish even if you move to another entry. Would that solve this?

That will help, but this is more about both seeing the battle as well as those notes. If it was a simple update like Quick Notes then I thought that might be a good addition.

Hard to generalize, but probably useful, have to think about it

Knowing we will be able to switch without losing publishing does make it less of a need so I'd drop it. I run with three screens so have the real estate, but that likely isn't the norm.
