@ElectricGr Can a location be shifted below 0 or above 50m on the transect?
No

First draft of MOJN_IU_SoilStability is ready for review
@HarpoMark @wright13
I added a table of stability sampling locations to the figures folder
@ElectricGr @wright13
Updated to prepopulate transect and position.
@HarpoMark Would it be possible to change the order of sampling locations? Transect 1 in ascending order, transect 2 descending, and transect 3 ascending. That way, the observer wouldn't need to keep walking back to the start of each transect.
@ElectricGr -Fixed by altering the sequence of records in the SieveProperties lookup
@ElectricGr -Improved form to support sieve numbers in parallel sequence while assuming out-and-back navigation through the plot
@HarpoMark @wright13
Can you make it so a stability value of six is automatically selected if the dominant basal cover is Moss or lichen? Can you add an N/A to Was sample hydrophobic? and have it autofill to N/A if the dominant basal cover is Moss or lichen Can you put dominant basal cover before dominant canopy cover. It works better with the flow of the SOP.
@ElectricGr Do we have descriptions of values 1-6 for soil stability. Would like to add a description of that scale to metadata
1
50% of structural integrity lost (melts) within 5 seconds of immersion in water, OR soil too unstable to sample (falls through sieve).
2
50% of structural integrity lost (melts) 5–30 seconds after immersion.
3
50% of structural integrity lost (melts) 30–300 seconds after immersion, OR <10% of soil remains on the sieve after five dipping cycles.
4
10–25% of soil remains on the sieve after five dipping cycles.
5
25–75% of soil remains on the sieve after five dipping cycles.
6
75–100% of soil remains on the sieve after five dipping cycles.

@HarpoMark
Stability form
-Can you put "Was sample hydrophobic?" before "Stability Value" -When "Was sample hydrophobic?" receives a Yes can you have "Stability Value" autofill as 6
Swapped order Stability is now 6 if basal =lichen or moss, or if hydrophobis is yes
if(${DominantBasalCover}='Moss',6,if(${DominantBasalCover}='Lichen',6,if(${Hydrophobic}='Y',6,'')))
@HarpoMark @wright13
Info on Soil Stability Form
This protocol is sampled along each transect but should probably just be one survey. There are 18 locations per plot, 6 on each transect. These locations are randomly selected at the beginning of the season and will change with each revisit to avoid sampling the same location. These locations can also be shifted if certain things are present at the sampling location. We should talk about this before you get started on this form.
At each location, crew will record a dominant canopy cover and a dominant basal cover. Once all samples are collected, they are processed, at which point they record the stability value and whether the sample was hydrophobic.
I added Lookups to the lookup spreadsheet and field to the data dictionary spreadsheet.
