This merge introduces changes to the code and a new test case configuration to run experiments investigating the effect of subshelf melt variability on Thwaites glacier.
Notable changes to code:
A ice shelf basal melt parameterization adopted from Seroussi et al. (2017) is added as an option to the code (though it is only really applicable for Thwaites glacier). The parameterization includes options to allow it to vary sinusoidally in time.
A new global stats calculation is added for flux across the grounding line, as well as some supporting infrastructure (e.g. mask routines)
adaptive timestep dt rounded down to nearest whole second
The test case is added to COMPASS at a number of resolutions, including a variable resolution mesh generated by JIGSAW. Pre- and post- processing scripts and scripts to manage setting up and running many ensemble members are also included.
