Hi there, I had a question about the GoDMC database where I'm not sure if I cant find the explanation or there is something wrong with the data presented. When analyzing meQTL summary statistics from about 4k genes we seem to find that the average direction is not concordant with the beta sign. Eg. all minusses in the direction and all plusses in the direction could both give rise to a positive beta in the results. How should i interpret the betas, as I expected positive betas to denote methylation and negative to denote demethylation.
