Has been requested increasingly regularly, including recently on the forum.

Have zero experience with such data or the processing steps necessary, but do know that eddy has the requisite command-line options for receiving such data and applying the warp along with all others in a single interpolation step.

What I don't know is whether there will be compulsory key-value fields necessary to get the scaling of the field correct with respect to the EPI distortions...

There is a good standalone workflow for these in https://github.com/poldracklab/sdcflows. I got it to work in qsiprep by sending the fieldmap in Hz to eddy (https://github.com/PennBBL/qsiprep/blob/0.6.0RC1/qsiprep/workflows/dwi/fsl.py#L182). Happy to help it you want to pursue this in mrtrix.
