I am trying to download drivers for the Dell Latitude 7310 and it fails. The DriverAutomationTool.log shows it is trying to download the drivers from ConfigMgr: Downloading from URL: https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER06433939M/1/7310-win10-A02-JJ8RP.CAB FOLDER06616910M/1/7310-win10-A03-85Y32.CAB. If I manually browse to https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER06433939M/1/7310-win10-A02-JJ8RP.CAB I can download the file. I checked DriverCatalogPack.xml at C:\Program Files\MSEndpointMgr\Driver Automation Tool\Temp and can see FOLDER06616910M/1/7310-win10-A03-85Y32.CAB as a separate entry which I am sure is invalid. I cleared out the TEMP folder and restarting the Driver Automation tool so it downloads a new copy of the cab and XML but the invalid entry is still there.
I don't know if there is a hash check or something on the XML when the Driver Automation Tool reads it but I tried to modify and comment out the lines with the bad data but I get a ton of errors when I relaunch the Automation Tool. I have a feeling I am not commenting out too much or too little and yes I know this is a band-aid until Dell releases a new driver.
I assume this is a Dell problem for and they ultimately need to fix the file and don't know if there is anything you can do about it but I thought I'd share this issue anyway.
