I do experience the same issue. Specifically with Bios for Lenovo M80q. I have, however, downloaded bios for Lemovo Thinkpad P15s and L580, without any trouble.

Is there any workaround? Predownload from Lenovo manualy and distribute?

I have the same issues on P330 and P340 models (have not tried anything else yet)

I have this same problem with ThinkCentre downloads for both divers and BIOS. Anyone have a resolution for this?

I have the same issue and it looks like Lenovo has actually removed the extract commands from certain xml files, from my observation it's all desktop devices (in my environment). The BIOS updates for desktops use a different tool (Inno Installer) than laptops to package them into an exe file, and I do not see an extract command line parameter in the vendor documentation ... @maurice-daly is the Lenovo BIOS issue something that you are aware of and are you by any chance in contact with Lenovo to get this resolved at their end? I've raised this issue to Lenovo, I got a reply that they will fix it, but nothing has happened yet.
