Compared to how many people will benefit from this with the effort we would have to put in here, I don't see that making much sense. It is not realistic that this modpack will be completely translated into another language. The quest book alone is a huge effort, and then still 50% of the mods are not translated. If someone wants to participate here, I gratefully accept the help, but the translation is far down in my list of priorities.
This PR will bring support for translating quests!
At a time of writing this, Getting Started and The Beginning are fully un-localized and use placeholders instead.
Translations are present in
minecraft/kubejs/assets/ftbquests/lang/<your language>.json
.Some guidelines: Translations are in the form of
<chapter>.<quest>.<fragment>
, where<fragment>
is either<title>
,<subtitle>
,<text.N>
for quest descriptions or something different depending on needs.To use a translation in quests, set the text of title/subtitle/description in FTB Quests to
{<chapter>.<quest>.<fragment>}
.For example - the title of the Welcome text in Getting Started chapter has
{getting_started.welcome.title}
as a title, and this is also present in the lang file.If a language does not have a translation string, it will fall back to en_US, then to unlocalized.
Some quests have the title automatically grabbed from the item name, for this you need to write a translation for a mod the item comes from.
