10 years ago The main thing to remember is that these values come from Musicbrainz. In order to fix the bad recordings so that they import correctly every time we do an import, either 1) the tags on the recordings in musicbrainz need to be changed, or 2) we need to make sure aliases are configured correctly (e.g. we make chachar an alias of deepchandi).
All recordings with tag sadra will need to have their tags changed, but I've had a look and there are no recordings in the database with this taal, so just delete it.
There are some modifications to the list of Hindustani taals http://dunya.compmusic.upf.edu/dashboard/hindustani/data/taals
Mainly the sorts of deleting some in the list (sadra is not a taal) and merging two taals to one (deepchandi and chachar taal are the same taal). Apart from changing it in the list, do we need to do something elsewhere so that the recording taal relationships are retained.
What is the best way to merge/delete entries from the database ?
