No translation received (sometimes) on autodetect

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Selecting text in German or Spanish 
2. Attempting to frankate it to English (either via shortcut or via context 
menu) 
3. I have not yet tested other languages. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect franked output as usual, but I get several pop ups with the error 
message "franker error: no translation received ...". After four or five 
pop-ups, the page stays greyed and a HUD bezel "frankating ..." remains.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I use Franker 1.2.2 on Safari 5.1.1 on OS X 10.7.2. Franker is set to 
autodetect the language and to translate into English using Google Translate.

Please provide any additional information below.
Franker worked fine all the time but started to behave like this consistently 
ever since 30. Oct 2011, 23:30 (GMT+1). Restarting Safari etc. does not help, 
and there are no errors logged in the Error Console of Safari (from the 
Developer menu).

I forgot: It appears that this behavior for franker happens when using it on 
Facebook. It works without problems on other pages.

Thanks for the report.

Unfortunately I do not control Google's language detection algorithm, so this 
can't be fixed in Franker itself.
I advice you to either a) try Microsoft (Bing) Translator or b) select exact 
language to translate from.

One more fact to consider is Franker uses outdated Google's Translate API which 
they plan to shutdown soon and provide paid service instead. So no surprise it 
start behave like this just recently.

The fact page stays grayed and HUD bezel remains on error is really an issue 
and have to be addressed. I'll create separate ticket for this.
