This issue is raised to start thinking about upgrading MTpy. Suggestions are here. We can use this as a forum for discussion and as ideas are solidified we can start those issues. Be sure to use the "version 2" label.

This sounds good... I remember some time looking at the TISA AusLAMP sg outputs and being frustrated because we don't have GOCAD and there was no ModEM model or anything included, which left me with reverse engineering GOCAD files if I wanted to do something. I was looking at some of the projects last night and thinking xarray would be good for this. Open format methods for all outputs would be great.

I hope the MTPY package will be released in verison of 1.01 or 1.1, even 2 in 2022. There are a couple of versions existing on the web. For novices, it is not so easy so pick up one version. Further, two years had passed since the version 1 was released.
