file payroll taxes #39

Is this what we need to set up online? For filing electronically? Found on oregon.gov quote here:

"Employers can file returns and detail reports using electronic or paper options. Filing electronic returns and detail reports will require setting up a Revenue Online account. For more information on how to set up an account, please visit Revenue Online. ​You can pay by cash, check, money order, or EFT. Include the new payment coupon with your check or money order so we can ensure it's applied appropriately."

We prob should do that today together as a top priority for our meeting, a bit of housekeeping hopefully there aren't any other letters, but I'm sure they'll send one out of we missed reporting another tax.

Emily Clyde [6:07 PM] Well goodness...

  1. We need to call for that employee thing. Or did we do this already @markdav.is? Then need to call again July 31.
  2. We need to file for the transit tax. Guess I need to look this up. Is this quarterly? IDK. Argh.... We need access to an accountant to help us take care of this nit picky tax stuff. Do we know anyone?

Emily Clyde [6:29 PM] After reading I feel like this is a W-2 thing. Once again we don't have W-2 employees, but IDK, still going thru Oregon rev website. I wonder if this is in response to the other letter we received. If we had filed on time we wouldn't have triggered this one (never mind we file 4 times per year on this one.) (edited) And it's also filed quarterly! So we need to do both of these July 31, As well as for March.

If it hasn't already been filed do asap payroll and transit tax online for July 31 ending quarter!

Pay penalty for March ending quarter. Prob need still file it as well, even though it's late and we ended up with penalty.
