Hi web3 enthusiast, we appreciate you stopping by our bounty and, even more, we appreciate that you are dedicated to fighting numerous design (UI/UX) challenges that our industry brings!

How can we collaborate? We were hoping you could design a specific feature that can be developed as a part of one of the most famous crypto wallets (MetaMask and Ledger Nano).

Let’s imagine there is an underlying technology (set of smart contracts) that allows users to set up a backup wallet address(es). Hence:

If the user forgets his private key, he has a fallback address where funds will be sent.
In case of death, funds can be transferred to the user’s bellowing ones if he added their address(es) as a fallback one.

So, we need you to create user flows and UI design for this feature. However, not any kind of UI, but the one that can be incorporated into:

MetaMask (web extension) and
Ledger Nano

Imagine that you are working for these companies and that you are presented with the above tasks. Some of the functionalities you may include:

As a user ISBAT provide the beneficiary address so funds can be transferred to it in case of my inactivity.
As a user ISBAT define the amount of funds that will be locked inside the smart contract so that amount can be transferred to the beneficiary in case of my inactivity (+ ISABT to update that amount).
As a user ISBAT set a specific percentage of the funds that will be transferred to each beneficiary address in case of my inactivity, so I can be sure that the adequate amount of assets are transferred to multiple recipients.
As a user ISBAT set a specific time period so I can make sure that it is not too short but at the same time, not too long a period before funds will be transferred to the beneficiary address(es) in case of my inactivity.
As a user ISBAT prove my activity within a specified time period, so funds won't be transferred to the beneficiary address(es).
As a user ISBAT cancel my request (DAS), so I can be sure that if I do not prove my activity funds won’t be transferred to another (beneficiary) address in case of my inactivity.
As a user ISBAT change beneficiary addresses(es) and the percentage of funds to be allocated to each address.
As a user ISBAT change the time period so I can extend or shorten it.

*Features and functionalities are not set in stone, be free to adjust them or propose additional ones that will mainly contribute to the UX improvements.

Definition of done:

User flow that supports DAS (Dead Account Switch) feature for MetaMask web extension.
UI screens that support DAS feature for MetaMask web extension.
User flow that supports DAS feature for LedgerNano web extension.
UI screens that support DAS features for LedgerNano web extension.

Please first share your interest to work on this design and do not start with the actual work until we formally approve you to work on this bounty.

You will help us a lot to choose you if you attach a relevant portfolio as a part of the application comment. Additionally, you can provide user flows for one of these wallets, but that is not a mandatory part of the application.

Deadline: All applications have to be submitted no later than 11:59 PM CET on February 22nd, 2021.

If we choose you, we expect you to finish with tasks (defined under the definition of done) no later than 11:59 CET on March 7th, 2021.

Here is my plan for the bounty (inital metamask flows coming by mail):

Make sure I have not outstanding questions on the task. I quick chat or call would be good.
Check out the design patterns for Meta mask and Ledger (this will be quick as I use them daily)
Make initial sketches for the user flows
Review initial sketches with you, to make sure we agree on scope and details.
Make interactive prototype for the metamask flows
Make interactive prototype for ledger nano flows.
Present and walk through the finalised prototypes.

One question regarding the ledger nano portion of the bounty, do you want a user flow with ledger nano + metamask? I am not familiar with the ledger nano web extension, do you mean the Ledger Live app?
