2 months ago I'm not sure what are the details. But if the computer freezes, that's either something with Windows, hardware, or drivers. The game typically can't freeze your computer to the point it needs to restart. Clocks getting behind is also tricky, as the game can't get access to real time which most likely affects auto save as well.
Issue description
I have been getting an error when try to open saved games that game cannot read meta data and tells me to restart the game. I have reset the game cache and no luck. I have noticed this for a couple of days now Since 4/15/24. I have encountered an error as well when saving the game, it tells me the game has been saved, then upon quitting my computer freezes and I have to reboot my computer again. I can start a auto save but it seems to be behind, as todays auto save was 1 hr. behind even though it is set to save every 15 min. In have also been noticing my clock looses time, today almost 2 hrs. lost clock time. The clock will update to correct time when my computer reboots. I am going to leave my computer on tonight to see if it looses time in general, not just playing COI. I have been in the steam forums, but everting is older and hasn't worked.
Reproduction steps
All I do is just enter my save name and save the file. not much more than that
