Transport fuel blending

Currently vehicles in TRA can consume both convential and bio fuels directly with certain SHARE-I specified. Should we change it to using blends instead?

Probably best to blend (at Fuel tech level?) as the blend would apply to all vehicle types.

Yes, Fuel Tech is the level I was thinking of, so that we get a sector-wide blend instead of a vehicle-specific blend.

This might be a suitable approach (e.g. EU-TIMES), but please consider one issue: how you are going to calculate emissions? Variable blending might lead to wrong estimation of emission factor.
