Unable to record via OpenGL inject #220

Closed DarkFenX closed 10 years ago

DarkFenX commented 10 years ago

Using current debian testing. Full-screen capture works perfectly. However, when i restrict it to opengl inject, it doesn't:

[PageRecord::StartOutput] Starting output ...
[PageRecord::StartOutput] Error: Could not get the size of the OpenGL application. Either the application wasn't started correctly, or the application hasn't created an OpenGL window yet. If you want to start recording before starting the application, you have to enable scaling and enter the video size manually.
[PageRecord::StartOutput] Error: Something went wrong during initialization.

I have compiled SSR myself, following is configuration log:

I have debian testing amd64, NVIDIA drivers 331.67, GTX780M, single screen setup, GNOME 3 as desktop environment.

This happens when i'm trying to record any opengl game - EVE online launched through wine, XCOM: enemy unknown launched through steam. Would be glad to help with debugging it, with some guidance of course.

DarkFenX commented 10 years ago

I just realized that glinject was not in path (because i launched SSR right after compiling), thus installed it via checkinstall:

How are you launching the game? OpenGL recording has changed in SSR 0.3.0, please re-read this article if you haven't already: http://www.maartenbaert.be/simplescreenrecorder/recording-steam-games/

DarkFenX commented 10 years ago

It seems i'm just missing 32-bit libs. I have no idea how to compile these myself, will check it later. If you can suggest some guie on how to do it, please do.

Closing ticket as it's not actually an issue with SSR.
