Too much white noise #326

I am running 64 bit Fedora 21, and trying to record Minecraft and Skype at the same time. I ran the code for the feedback loop and finally got everything audible on the recording, but there's a ton of white noise in the recording. If I adjust the sound levels to get rid of it, I can't hear anything in the recording. Is there a way to fix this?

So do you have a good mic? Have you tried to use something like audacity to see if its not just a SSR problem? Have you tried to identify possible sources of white noise like fans, etc?

Lots of noise can be an indication that you selected the wrong audio input.
