I used your simplescreenrecorder in Ubuntu 16.04 until 20.04 and a short time under 21.04. It always worked fine.
Not in Ubuntu 2204. It record the mouse and record sound but the Screen is black.
So in the Community are many tips to reconfigure the Ubuntu to X11. But the elementary files /etc/X11/xorg.conf or /etc/gdm/custom.conf are not existing on my System.
But this is maybe possible on a copy of my System but not on my running System.
Otherwise the ubuntu 2204 Screencapturetool on the printkey, record the Screen video but not the sound.
So is there a way to make a change in your System instead of being helpless to reconfigure my Ubuntu X11.
